ITT Program -Delta-X Online   Instrument Technician

This program is for people who want to start a career as an entry-level Instrumentation Technician. It's highly recommended to have at least 1 year of industrial experience, particularly as an Instrument Fitter or Industrial Electrician. Helpful background: basic mechanical aptitude and a willingness to get hands-on. 

Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:00pm - 9:00pm CST, held exclusively online on a platfrom for 12 weeks.

Core practical skills employers want: safety, drawings & documents, hands-on calibration, point-to-point troubleshooting, HOAs & motor controls, valves/switches/solenoids, writing work orders, and PLC & control simulation, & much more!

When you come to class in-person, we provide the test equipment & instrumentation for your hands-on training, but we will provide a tool list for you to bring: it includes terminating screwdrivers, channellocks, etc. We highly recommend bringing a notebook and something to write on.

Because the course is hands-on, attendance is important. We recommend attending all sessions; if you must miss class, contact us as early as possible — we’ll do our best to arrange a limited make-up or additional coaching. 3 or more absences will require a meeting with administration.

Yes — we help our graduates, through our I&E Community, Resume Review, and connection with our staffing company, I&E Specialty Staffing Services. We actively support job search and employer introductions, but placement depends on market factors and candidate fit.
